PROJECTS

Institutional Research Information System

 

 

Between 2001 and 2005, at The Secretariat of Education in Libya, I was responsible for the design and development of a large-scale client-server School System. The goal of this system was to help the Education Ministry to collect correct information about its students, teachers, courses, and school buildings. Then to analyze the collected data and generate end user reports as required. The system connected more than seventy clients (schools) to a main server located at The Secretariat of Education. I trained more than 125 users to run this system perfectly.

 

 

 

 

 

Apriori_SP System

 

 

In 2006, as a Master’s degree requirement, I developed a scientific program using vb.net with OOP in order to improve Apriori algorithm of association rules mining. A new algorithm (Apriori_SP, where SP abbreviation of Sampling and Partitioning) was presented in this system. For synthetic data, a Market-Basket Synthetic Data Generator System was developed to simulate nearly real transactions of Market Basket.

 

 

 

 

 

Registration System

 

 

Between 2009 and 2010, I collaborated with a team of three programmers to design and develop a Registration System for Higher Institutes and Universities in Libya. The goal of this system was to help Higher Institutes and Universities to deal with student enrollment, registrations, and exams.

 

 

 

 

 

Online Social Network simulator

 

 

From 2012 to 2015, as a PhD degree requirement, I developed an Online Social Network simulator using real data from Google, and an OMNeT++ Simulator. Using this simulator, a set of social models was proposed and a set of experiments conducted.
